Toshiba BX820T Industrial Thermal Transfer Printer

The Toshiba BX820T is a rugged 8-inch wide industrial thermal transfer printer designed for high-volume logistics, chemical, and manufacturing operations. Powered by Toshiba's advanced dual-core A-BRID operating system, it delivers exceptional reliability, enterprise-grade performance, and seamless integration with modern barcode and cloud management environments.

Wide-Format Industrial Printing

Produce large-format labels with a true 8-inch (216.8 mm) print width and sharp 300 dpi resolution. Printing at speeds of up to 6 inches per second, the BX820T is ideal for oversized pallet labels, GHS chemical drum labels, warehouse identification labels, and compliance applications.

Advanced A-BRID Architecture

The BX820T features Toshiba's innovative dual-core A-BRID processor, combining a Linux-based operating system with a dedicated real-time print engine. This architecture enables native PDF direct printing with automatic scaling and rotation while supporting custom embedded applications without the need for additional middleware.

Future-Ready Compatibility

Automatic printer language recognition allows seamless integration with existing environments, supporting TPCL, ZPL II, DPL, SBPL, and IPL. The BX820T is also fully aligned with the GS1 Sunrise 2027 initiative, supporting the transition to next-generation 2D barcodes.

Industrial-Grade Construction

Built for demanding industrial environments, the BX820T features a durable metal-reinforced chassis and a centred media path that delivers reliable media handling and consistent print quality throughout long production runs.

Connectivity & Cloud Management

Standard connectivity includes USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and RS232. Optional Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 provide additional deployment flexibility. Integration with e-BRIDGE CloudConnect and SOTI Connect enables 24/7 remote monitoring, device management, and fleet optimisation.

Flexible Media & Ribbon Support

Supporting both thermal transfer and direct thermal printing, the BX820T works with a wide range of media including vellum paper, matte and gloss-coated stocks, as well as synthetic and PET materials. High-capacity ribbons of up to 300 metres help reduce operator intervention and maximise productivity.
